   CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

KEYNOTE AND OTHER PRESENTATIONS

The ISEC conference is planned as the main yearly conference of the newly created Special Interest Group on Software Engineering, SIGSE under the umbrella of the Computer Society of India, CSI. The First ISEC will be held in Hyderabad, an important IT destination in India. ISEC will bring together researchers and practitioners from across the world to share the results of their work.Technical papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, empirical, and experimental software engineering research, as well as those describing Industry Experience will be in the program. ISEC will provide a forum for researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry to meet and share cutting-edge advancements in the field of software engineering.

Technical Sessions

From over 90 submissions received, a compact program of 12 full papers and 14 poster papers in different areas have been selected. The papers were selected by an International Program Committee. Proceedings will be published by ACM, and all papers will be in the ACM digital library.

Special ICSE and FSE Sessions

In cooperation with ACM SIGSOFT, two of the best papers from the flagship conferences FSE (Symposium on Foundations of Software Engg) and two from ICSE (International Conference on Software Engineering) will be presented as Invited papers in special sessions. The papers are:

  • Mining Specifications of Malicious Behavior, by M. Christodorescu et. al.
  • Tracking Code Clones in Evolving Software, by Ekwa Duala-Ekoko, et. al.
  • Globally Distributed Software Development Project Performance: An Empirical Analysis, by Narayan Ramasubbu, Rajesh Krishna Balan
  • Predicting Faults from Cached History, by Sunghun Kim, et.al.

Keynote speakers

  • Mary Jean Harrold - Dr. Harrold is ADVANCE Professor of Computing at College of Computing. Georgia Institute of Technology. She is general chair for ACM SIGSOFT Foundations of Software Engineering(2008).
  • Andreas Zeller - Professor Zeller is software engineering chair at Saarland University, Dept. of Informatics, Saarbrucken, Germany. He is author of the book "Why Programs Fail" that won Software Development Jolt Productivity Award.

Tutorials and Workshops

There will be one day of workshops and one day of tutorials in the conference.
