Overview
Translational research in computer vision is driven not only by the mathematical and theoretical analysis but also by smart and innovative applications with industrial, societal or strategic impact. The third workshop on applications of computer vision will provide a platform for computer vision researchers working on practical applications to present their latest results and systems. Unlike the ICVGIP main track, the workshop solicits submissions on systems and applications with interesting and innovative computer vision components.
We invite both original submissions as well as works published elsewhere. The original submission will be considered for oral presentation. The prior published work will be considered for poster presentation. The proceedings of the workshop will be published by Springer as a CCIS (Communications in Computer and Information Science) series volume.
The three major tracks of the workshop will be:
- Industrial Applications
- Medical Applications
- Social Applications
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Early and Biologically-Inspired Vision
- Segmentation and Grouping
- Object Recognition
- Scene Understanding
- Statistical Methods and Learning
- 3-D Modeling
- Motion Processing
- Stereo Processing
- Virtual and Augmented Reality
- Assistive and Social Applications
- Smart Cities
- Biomedical Imaging
- Biometrics
- Computer Vision for the Big Data Applications
The workshop is scheduled on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in conjunction with the eleventh Indian Conference on Computer Vision, Graphics, and Image Processing (ICVGIP) at the IIIT, Hyderabad, India. In addition to contributed research papers, the workshop will also host invited talk for industry as well as academics.
The manuscript for submission should be prepared according to Springer LNCS format. The length of the manuscript must not exceed 12 pages as per LNCS format.
Author guidelines are available here
Papers can be submitted through Microsoft CMT submission portal: here
ICVGIP 2018 WCVA will follow a double blind review system. Authors should not include their names and affiliations in the manuscript. Authors should also ensure that their identities are not revealed indirectly (by avoiding acknowledgements to collaborators, direct citations to author's previous work, and uploading manuscripts in publicly accessible websites).
The manuscript should be uploaded as a PDF file. The maximum allowed file size is 20MB.
